If any of you have photos from the party please email them to owrgaming@gmail.com. We need to get some of those up and posted. I have some video I am working on as well so there will be a little of that as well.

Over the years I have been playing over PC and Xbox, I have realized something that has made me a bit angry about the way gaming has progressed. Back in the day online team based games have been about winning, not individual stats. Lately I believe that that is all haywire. Why should you care about how well your team does? All that matters is your rank and level right? That’s what it seems like its all about and that sucks. There should be heavier bonuses for teams that communicate and play as a team as well as penalties for those that don’t. I am tired of being left to fend off badies because everyone else is running around worried about there own ranks and ratio’s. In the long run, you look like the best player on the losing TEAM. If you are doing better than most then step back and take the lead. Give the struggling players places to go or enemy locations to avoid so the team succeeds.

What can I say about this game? I Love It! Its like Team Fortress 2 meets your favorite tower defense game. Robots, Explosions, and Ninja Assasins makes for some awesome arena gameplay. I have not messed with the single player too much. I played through the tutorial so I could unlock a sweet Avatar head. I also played through the exhibition mode and season mode to sharpen up my skills with a few of the six classes you can choose from. There is also a Co-Op mode that you and three other players over Xbox Live can tackle including an infinite mode that throws robot after robot at you until your money ball is destroyed.
The part I like the best is the crossfire 6 v 6 versus mode. The objective is to destroy the opposite teams money ball, but that is no easy task. Your robots have to drop the defenses so you can go in and get it. Around the Money Ball, are turret stations that players can upgrade by using cash that they accumulate from taking down another player or destroying CPU controlled robots that the teams are sending out to break the defenses. Each class sends out a certain type of robot that has a specific duty it performs. On top of that you also have to take out the players from the opposite team. With all this going on you have a lot of different strategies you can use to succeed. Some send out lots of robots early to overwhelm while others use sheer skill to run in and pwn the other team before they have a chance to get a foot hold. All and all it balances well and really does rely on teamwork from the whole team.
This game is hilarious. Those of you out there that like dungeon crawlers like Diablo or Torchlight will love this. The voice work is great and the main character is awesome. I have not played a lot but what I have played is really fun and funny. There is not much else I can say about this. I will leave the laughs to those of you that are going to give it a shot.
I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone who showed up too the lan party and a big thanks to Dre for giving us a place to nerd out for the day. Good Food, Good Games, and Good Friends always makes for a great time. I am still gonna headshot each and every one of you online. And don’t forget to never leave your house without these………..
I would like to personally thank all the OWR members and their guests who came out on a fantastic Saturday to game it up! I really appreciate the support and participation; but, most of all I commend the dedication to each other to make this a regular event where we can get together as friends to just kick it and have a good time. Special thanks to the house host Andre, his wife Monica, and their family for providing us with a place to play that is as memorable as the play itself. We at OWR also appreciate, in no small way, Andre’s efforts to provide us with his grilling expertise. GO RAIDERS! Another thanks to Snipr, Vocheezie, Hugo and Fearless for the assistance in set up in the morning; and, thanks to everyone for break-down after all was said and done.
I will also recognize the following fot their support as sponsors for prizes to this event: Costco, Gamestop, Westwood College, Walmart, Fry’s Electronics, Vons, Motel Six, IHop, Carrows, Denny’s, 7/11, Cerritos Auto Square Dealerships, Toys-R-Us, Dr. Urban at Southcoast Dental Cerritos, Comic Con 2010, Petco, Dairy Queen, Sizzler, Log Beach Bike Shop, Kragen /O’Reilly Auto Parts, Cogburn/Smart Realty, Elephant Bar, Blockbuster Video, T-mobile, Alin’s Party Depot, Yoshinoya, Lucille’s Smokehouse BBQ, Chase Bank, Office Max, Postal Annex, Walgreens, Enterprise Car Rental.
Now……for another important item……THE NEXT LAN PARTY! I will suggest October 16th. If this sounds acceptable, please give a reply back why or why not. This a sensible date because two months after that the holidays will be here and we all have other things on our minds; therefore, the next party after Oct would not be until January and a long time with no play makes Neo a psychopathic, homacidal maniac!
Thank You All! Let’s do it again………Anyone who has the space and desire to host a LAN party or has a connection to a large venue where we can have bigger parties, contact me and we can work on the details.

Intel:
On approximately 06/2010, a meeting was being planned by a bunch of low level tech terrorists to infiltrate one xbox live and crush gaming as we know it. The time and date of said terrorist activity has finally been leaked to our intelligence. As of this moment you are to train for cyber warfare and prepare yourself for one of the first great cyber battles of this century.
Mission Objective:
Infiltrate said gathering and blend in. find out what each member is up too and beat them one by one at their own game. Do not reveal any of this intel to anyone as you do not know who is to be trusted. You are our last hope at finally uncovering and annihilating said terrorist organization. Make it to extraction in one piece.
Closing:
This intel is classified top secret at the highest level. Any leak of clandestine information will result in immediate extraction from the mission and all knowledge of your existence will be denied.
Good Luck soldier
If you have not registered by Tuesday you may miss out on the address for the Lan Party. This is the only way to get it so make sure your Email is correct when you register. If you are online with any other members make sure to ask if they have registered so they don’t miss out. PLEASE do not give the address to anyone else. This is a private residence so unless you have talked to us about it (we have a list of extras already), then you are the only invited person. We have to be real firm about this because we are limited on space and we don’t need a bunch of people showing up uninvited. Can’t wait to shoot all of you in your face.

Okay here are a few things you need to know about LAN party Saturday before the big day arrives.
• This is Invite only. This is a big one because we are limited on space and unless you have spoken to Neomite (Dave), Snipr27 (Andy), or F34RL3SS (Jason) about bringing extra guests, do not bring anyone else.
